Rockhampton to Emerald (3hrs)
Things to do:
*Japanese Gardens via Blackwater International Coal Centre.
2 ½ hrs to Blackwater, No charge.
*Coal Mining Museum located inside Coal Centre, Mon-Fri 9-5, $5.
*See the Sunflower painting as you drive into Emerald.
Day 3
Emerald to Longreach (5hrs)
Accom: Longreach Tourist Park.
Things to do:
*Sapphire Gemfields. Emerald to Sapphire (54km/36 mins)
*Longreach – Thomson River Cruise BYO. 4hrs. Pick up from accommodation.
*Water Towers
Day 4
Longreach
Things to do:
*Stockmans Hall of Fame – Landsborough Hwy.
*Qantas Museum
Sir Hudson Fysh Drive. 9am-4pm daily.
*School of Distance Ed

Tour 1 hour. 9am or 10.30am, Mon-Fri, Adults $15.

Day 5
Longreach to Winton (2hrs)

*The Ultimate Dinosaur Tour at Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum.1pm Tour, 3-4 hrs.
*The Waltzing Matilda Museum
Day 6
Winton to Barcaldine. 3hrs.
Accom: Barcaldine Tourist Park
Things to do:
*Tree of Knowledge
*Australian Workers Heritage Centre. Ash St, Barcaldine. $19 per adult
*Sculpture Trail
Day 7
Barcaldine to Emerald (3 ½hrs)
Things to do:
*Botanic Gardens
*Fairbairn Dam, Lake Maraboon
*Emerald Train Station
*Emerald Art Gallery
*Minerva Hills National Park, Springsure. 1hr South of Emerald.
Day 8
Emerald to Rockhampton (3hrs)
Accom: Stayed with family.
Day 9
Rockhampton to Bundaberg (3hrs)
Things to do:
*Rum Distillery
Day 10
Bundaberg to Brisbane (4 1/4hrs)
